My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West album review

5th album from Kanye West takes elements from all of rap, rnb, alternative and others in both the production and vocals with features like Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, John Legend and Bon Iver and it’s a very enjoyable listen. Tracks like Dark Fantasy and Blame Game have rnb/soul elements in the production, Monster is darker with some elements of alternative (credit to Bon Iver), and Devil In A New Dress and So Appalled are just straight beautiful production and verse upon verse. Runaway is easily the best on the album though, being 9 minutes long and every minute is absolute perfection. For my least favorite, easily Hell Of A Life. The production on there is easily the worst on the project and Kanye is just baaaaaaaad on it. There’s also Blame Game which runs way too long and the skit sucks, and Lost In The World which just sounds extremely sloppy and I can’t stand to listen to it. Overall MBDTF gets a 9/10, for being a very enjoyable listen even if top heavy.
